Emilio was born in Mexico, but grew up playing in Redwood City for Juventus (Quakes) Soccer Club. He currently plays futsal with the guys he grew up with and having that brotherhood is one of his favorite experiences. He also notes playing in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup and traveling with the team in such a high level competition in front of large crowds is part of his most memorable soccer moments.

Emilio coaches to help share his knowledge with the next generation and help them to experience the love and all the fun that comes with the sport! He wants kids to have an enjoyable escape when they step on the pitch. He particularly likes mentoring players and helping them to reach their goals on and off the field.

Emilio has been coaching boys and girls at different levels for 14 years including high school coaching for the past 5. Emilio is a proud lefty. His favorite team is the Italian club Juventus FC, he’s partial to the color green, and his favorite player is Zinedine Zidane.
