About
Diogo Oliveira de Sousa
Diogo was born in Brazil and started out playing futsal as a goalkeeper for his school teams. Before becoming a coach Diogo was a sports journalist in Brazil.
Diogo’s favorite soccer memories are when he was very young, watching the 1994 Brazil vs. Italy final on TV and being present at a Flamengo game at Maracanã, one of the most famous stadiums in the world in 2015.
Diogo has been coaching at Stanford SC and Gunn High School for almost 3 years. The desire to convey the passion he feels for soccer and the joy of sharing good times with friends playing the game are the reasons why Diogo became a coach.
Romário is Diogo’s favorite soccer player. Playing bass with his band, skateboarding, watching soccer and movies, listening to music and playing video games are his favorite hobbies.
